Ugly duckling
This entry/sofa table was black with a plastic top covered in fake black leather. Now I know that some stuff looks great wrapped in black leather, like maybe my mini van upholstery, but like lets take my thighs for instance...not so much, or the top on a table, not the best look. So one evening I took all my aggression out on it with a hammer, and drill, and removed the table top (and scared my kids a little :) ) We put on a fresh piece of wood as a custom new top and painted and glazed it. I am so darn happy with how it turned out! The size is awesome! It gives you a lot of display space because of the length but it is still shallow so it could still fit in a more narrow space . Love :)

Happy prints & colors
I'm so excited about our yard market pillows! They are all hand sewn by Wendi and I, and covered in indoor/outdoor fabric so that you can enjoy them wherever :) I just love decorating for Spring and Summer because everything is so bright, and colorful, and happy!
Watch for a post with our reversible throw pillows, in tons of different patterns and colors. Each one will be unique and one of a kind. Soooo pretty!

Looooove this bench!
Wendi and I found this bench and loved the lines, but not so much the burgundy upholstery and yellowed wood frame. A few days before we bought it, I had made a trip to the fabric store that's forty minutes away with my four kids. I know not ideal but one of the employees told me about a new shipment, and I knew if I didn't go all the good stuff would be gone! She pulled this grey&white graphic upholstery fabric from the pallets in the back for me (I didn't have a project for it but) I had to have it! So a few days later when I saw this bench I was giddy because I was thinking about that perfect fabric to make it fresh and mod.
This piece would look great in an entry or at the foot of a bed. I think that it could freshen up a space, or finish off a makeover. I mean lets be real it would be awesome on one of those bare basement walls too ;) Keep an eye out for this super fun piece at our Yard Market in less than two weeks!.

Pillow obsessed!
I have had these brown microfiber couches since my husband and I bought them a week and a half after we got married. They have been through four little crumbling, spilling kids and have definitely seen better days! I was starting to HATE them and so I thought that I would give them one more chance to live and make them over with one of my favorite things...pillows. They have always had a few throw pillows on them that I change out impulsively but that just wasn't doing it for me anymore so....
I took the three cushions off the back (which were just loose and removable anyway) and opted for a larger grouping. First I stole some pillows from my basement sectional ( and that couch looked sad for a while, but beside the point.) I had to make a lot of different patters work and mixing patterns can be tricky. I've found that if you
stick with 2 or 3 colors and try to balance a few larger and a few smaller patterns it can be done. If all your pillows have the same background color too then its even easier to make it work. So all my pillows have cream, blue or green, or all three. I love that the couches are even deeper now because I removed those back cushions and all that color and pattern makes me so happy! So now they have a new lease on life, and I just saved myself a ton of money by not buying new ones. Plus there are still a lot of spills and crumbs to come anyway.
